Great to see some of these never before seen extra rare Brazilian fruit photos. Includes nutritional charts, index, and bibliography. Book size is 5 1/4 by 9 inches. Hard cover. This is a well illustrated book with over 2000 full color photos in each volume in a large format size of 8 1/2 in x 12 1/2 in. (21 x 31 cm). Each volume is 384 pages, for a total of 768 pages, showing the most important species of trees of Brazil. Written information on the characteristics of each plant, its phenology, occurrence, gathering of seeds, production of seedlings, etc., is given. Hard cover. Published by Instituto Plantarum.

Another great resource for little known fruits of Asia. Unfortunately the book is very difficult to obtain.

Great "coffee table" type book of the fruits of Brazil. Nice large photos and plenty of local folklore. Text is in both English and Portuguese. This same author now has an enlarged and improved edition in English called Fruit in Brazil.

Five Decades with Tropical Fruits, Bill Whitman
A compilation of articles written by Bill Whitman for the Rare Fruit Council magazine. Also proceedings from early Rare Fruit Council meetings. Tends to be rather repetitive, but worth it for the great photos and information on little known fruits.
